Tamika Otis and Summer Fitch met in 1995 at West Chester University. Go Rams! Upon forming a seemingly instant friendship, their swift and solid bond revealed that they both entered college riddled with trauma. Their connection provided healing to unknown and unhealed traumas and through the years they have relied on that connection to pull one another out of some of the darkest spaces.
Immediately, Tamika and Summer discovered that they were innately trauma-informed and possessed highly empathetic energy. ”We were always the go-to-girls when friends or family had challenges and decisions to face.” As they matured and chose career paths, both gravitated toward advising, coaching, and managing individuals and businesses through difficult situations. Essentially, the two were DEI&B professionals before the term was coined yet their work is different and intentionally linked to healing the person – mind, heart, and body before delving into the business needs.
The KABOD Consulting Group is an amalgamation of unique experiences that when synergized, allow participants to holistically experience concepts and ideas and apply them quickly. We fully understand that actualizing DEIB strategies in any organization require all partners to embrace EQ principles, trauma-informed practices, and a person-centered approach. We realize that whole individuals positively impact the culture of organizations when development happens in this order.
The KABOD team proves, client after client, that by beginning a training journey focused on people and their stories vs. processes and data, we naturally create safety, encourage honesty, and foster re-commitment to personal and subsequently professional growth.
The authentic and informative spaces we facilitate are not formed by accident, but a continuous sign that KABOD is a servant leader in the training space. We train from the bottom of our hearts to heal your bottom line.
